Chapter 4 — The Tablet Screen Reveals the Impact — Then Proves Todd Himself Hit the Glass
The tray clipped the rim of the plastic tumbler with an audible jolt visible in the pixel data.
The sudden impact sent a shockwave through the thin plastic base.
Caleb and Brenda were seen sitting quietly reading menus when the liquid splashes.
Amber liquid erupted across the smooth wooden surface in a violent arc.
Dark droplets sprayed outward onto the red vinyl bench.
Ice cubes bounced twice and scattered across the table.
Todd did not stop or look back after causing the spill, walking straight toward the kitchen.
His stride remained unbroken.
The tray balanced effortlessly in his left hand as he vanished through the swinging wooden doors.
The tablet screen displayed every single frame of the clumsy blunder in stark clarity.
Brenda paused the playback.
She zoomed in on the exact microsecond of impact.
The timestamp burned into the corner read 12:15:02 PM.
She slid the device across the sticky laminate table toward Todd.
Todd’s face turned pale as he watches the exact frame-by-frame replay of his blunder.
