Chapter 4 — Sammy Leaps Up Against the Wooden Table — Then The Heavy Vase Begins to Wobble on the Edge
Sammy rests his front paws squarely on the polished wood.
He stretches his neck upward to catch a scent near the windowsill.
He is trying to reach for a stray tennis ball left resting precariously close to the far corner.
The blue and white ceramic vase sits right beside the abandoned toy.
Sammy’s left paw shifts slightly as he reaches higher.
The thick ceramic base of the heirloom vase takes the full force of the impact.
The video shows Sammy’s paw striking the ceramic base directly.
The heavy vessel shudders against the smooth surface.
The video audio picks up the distinct ceramic clink as the vase tilts sideways.
